About Us
Tilly and Jake are current working professionals in the games industry, as well as passionate gamers. We bring our love of the medium, and our working experience together, to create reels that sound straight out of a AAA game.
Tilly trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. As an actor, she has worked at theatres including The Bush, Leeds Playhouse, and on screen has appeared in Doctor Who, Victoria and as Ophelia in the groundbreaking machinima film Grand Theft Hamlet. She began her games directing career working on the smash hit Baldur's Gate 3, directing acclaimed video game actors including Neil Newbon and Jennifer English. She is currently working on four major new game releases under NDA. Her biscuit selections in sessions are also truly elite.
Jake has engineered sessions on some of the biggest game releases of the last ten years, such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Call of Duty, Metaphor: Refantazio, Black Myth: Wukong, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and many more. He brings an unrivalled wealth of experience to support actors to give their best performances in the booth, as well as making the best builders tea in the business.
Our Ethos
Our business is called Authentic Reels, and that's exactly what we're all about. Demos that put performance first. Our reels focus primarily on grounded, honest performance first, regardless of genre. Some scripts are more elevated or heightened as video games often are, but we try to showcase you as an individual performer first and foremost. We want industry professionals to listen to the first ten seconds of your reel and believe that they're listening to a human being in a real situation, that they could give you a script, and you could make a player sit up and listen.+

Our reel service costs £800 and includes:
- An hour-long consultation with Tilly where we chat about you, your work as an actor, and what your dream roles are within the medium of games
​
- Completely bespoke scripts (between 8 to 10), written by Tilly, in consultation with you - no reel is the same, scripts are not recycled and they’re all focused towards the work you want to do, as well as supporting your strengths as a performer
​
- In-studio session* of 3 hours, directed by Tilly, and engineered by Jake
​
- Edit, sound design, and mastering by Jake to an AAA sound design standard
​
- A deliverables package of the full reel and individual scenes, including dialogue only stems and mixes without sound design and music
​
* We offer a remote service for actors with a home studio
